Mindful of his beliefs Qui-Gon swore Obi-Wan to carry out his last wish, setting in motion a chain of events that would bring chaos, but ultimately peace, to the galaxy.

In Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon's lightsaber was machined by the prop department from aluminum. Resin parts were cast and a rare, red aircraft button was added as decoration.
